a young street urchin tried to rob nadia here. some passersby warned us of his presence by whistling. it kind of bummed her out. it kind of bummed me out too.
trotsky and his wife lived here in exile, after having lived at frida kahlo and diego rivera's place a few blocks away for several years, before being executed here wth the pick of an ice axe to the head. kahlo's house seems like an art museum, whereas this place seems more like a home. trotsky's wife had tiny feet. I could tell because her shoes were so small.
jeremy and rob at frida kahlo's
nadia, in line for the bathroom at frida kahlo's blue house
try as i might, i just couldn't manage to leave it all behind. i actually wrote an article for work about the grand opening of this building a few months ago.
this was the second of many times we drove around lost in mexico city.
the ruins of the temple at the geographic center of the original mayan city here. this place was not discovered until the 70s.
possibly the biggest outdoor chess tournament ever? somehow, I hope so.
i had the wrong lens with me this day. it was annoying. |
