My sister continues to say: "I think maybe they should have waited until the war was over, otherwise how are they going to alphabetically carve new names into the stone?"

i say: what are you talking about sister of mine? "operation iraqi freedom" ended on may 2nd 2003. that war is in the history books now. don't you remember when president bush landed on that aircraft carrier and told us that we won? you must be confusing "operation iraqi freedom" with the ongoing "operation illegitimate iraqi occupation quagmire war on terrorism distraction/creation." silly sister!

My sister says: "On our way back from a wedding in the Berkshires this past weekend, we had to stop in a town outside of Poughkeepsie because we ran into a parade on our road. Turns out it was the annual “Pleasant Valley Weekend” parade. At the start of their main street and the parade route there was a war memorial listing the names of Pleasant Valley soldiers who have died in combat engraved in a memorial stone wall, including 6 who have died in 'Operation Iraqi Freedom.'"
